recently invested in new technology that has allowed us to offer
a new level precision when
it comes to meeting Power and Irregularity specs for our customers.
The technology is called MRF which stands for Magnetorheological
Finishing. This process utilizes magnetic fluid spun on a computer
controlled wheel to deterministically spot polish finished lenses,
there by improving irregularity by a factor of 5. In addition, the
MRF machine will play a key role when LaCroix Optical decides to
start producing Aspheres.
